With all of my packing and cleaning I have decided to do a little mental house keeping. As you know I try to update fairly regularly but there are times I'm just not up to it for various reasons. That doesn't mean I didn't write an entry though, it just means it didn't get posted. I write on the bus all the time, (something I am really going to miss). So I have all of these un-posted entries cluttering up my mind, so I have decided over a period of time I am going to post them along with or instead of a regular entry until they are gone. So in the spirit of spring cleaning I am going to give you a brief preview of entries that are not getting posted but won't leave me alone anyway. Lucky you.

Forgotten Birthdays: I managed to miss both my great-grandmother's (101) and my oldest nephew's (17) birthdays this year.

The Erin Go Braughless party. This was part of my horrible St. Patrick's day I just refuse to relive it no matter how bad it haunts me.

My birthday is less then a month away. If I get another bath set I will scream.

I think I have said this before but I have heard that smoking can make your penis shrink a 1/2 an inch. There was a several page ramble to go with this but I think I will spare you unless you want to hear about it.

I had a massive debate on Ritz cracker cheese sandwiches vs. Ritz cracker peanut butter sandwiches. All you need to know is that peanut butter won. (Sorry Tini)

Most of you know I read a lot of Slash, so I had this long discussion about slash pairing names. To sum it up, even though it is not a pairing I read, my favorite pairing name is Dumb.(Dunn/Glomb)

Him is officially everywhere. I saw a wannabe Ville clone in Brookings over spring break.

Fangirling fangirls: I was going to gush over my favorite fanfic authors and fandoms but then I decided that it would just be better to try and stop being horribly shy and just come out of the lurking closet. Still working on that one.

This video disturbed me greatly http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xEXfgjqtG8

My father has been watching the Riches (he has a thing for Minnie Driver) and he is convinced that Eddie Izzard used to go by Eddie Izzardo.

German guilt: This was a rather long rant about how my German speaking skills have gone to hell and that the only thing I use them for is trying to read through interviews in music mags and translating things for Hairball.

The Sharpie incident. See "The Erin Go Braughless party" above.

I had a very long rant trying to explain Ville Valo's mustache. The short version is "when you turn 30, you grow a mustache. It is something guys do."

I was going to sing the praises of valo_daily but it pretty much speaks for itself.

I was going to talk about all the disturbing commercials that have been appearing lately but I have been talking about them on and off for a while so I don't see the point in doing an entire post about them.

Islamic art and Architecture class was torture for many reasons, one was a certain individual that I may have a crush on. This is just too ridiculous to discuss further.

On Saturday I was running around getting ready to leave. I said good bye to everyone. When I was at my aunt's I found out that she will be a tribal elder on her birthday. On top of my errands I also went to the pirate shop, where i would spend far too much of my money if given the opportunity. I also went to a couple galleries. I am very fond of the work of Mary Amarcillo (I am very sorry if i spelt her name wrong), especially her pastel cats, Nancy Tuttle, Horst Wolf, and Liz James. I have to say though that my new favorite artist is Destiny Schwartz. Her work is on display at Eye for Art Gallery. She works in multiple mediums. The first piece I saw was a table Entitled "Hey Diddle Diddle." I really loved it. Then I saw a group of miniature sculptures that I just fell in love with. They also just happened to be by her, as well as some fascinating prints. Mom said some of her work reminded her of mine. If only I was that good. I also finally got my sister's package sent off AGAIN. This thing has been to Texas, Brookings, Eugene, and back to Brookings again. This time it is going to Arizona and lets hope it stays there. I also tried Ben and Jerry's Black and Tan ice cream. OMG! It is delicious.
Sunday was spent sleeping in the car as mom drove, as always. She was freaking out because we lost and hour somewhere. So then we went to lunch and grocery shopping and then she left. I took another nap. I called her and asked what time it was because if the clock in the car was right my clock was wrong. Apparently when mom was cleaning the car she accidently pushed the a clock setting button and changed the hour. So she freaked out and didn't do the shopping she wanted for nothing and who knows if she will ever be able to make it up here again before I move.
Today was my first day of classes. I had 1. It was at 8:30 in the morning yay. It was Islamic art and architecture. I then went out an bought the books for the class because we have a huge assignment due on wed. Then I took another nap. Cause Its my first day back at work! yay! And they still haven't figured out how to do mail right yet. Come on people! On the plus side there was an thank you note from Annie in my in box and people seem to enjoy their little surprise presents from me. No one know its was me! Except of course the people that ask me and can read my signature.

On an unrelated side note Elton John is now 60.

Well back to the insanity.

Well today mom had the day off. We were going to go places and do things. But then there was a phone call. The girl that was supposed to come in today is MIA so mom has to come in and cover, as always. She never gets a day off. She has taken two two-day vacations in the last six years. On the plus side my charm bracelet got worked on. For years charms have been collected and new chains have been bought, as I keep out growing them. But finally today charms have been put on a chain that has a clasp that fits my wrist. Hooray! Mom and I tried to go out to dinner but everywhere was packed. So we had Taco Bell, stayed in and watched House. And tomorrow morning mom has to go into work on her day off, again. Well, I'm going to go back to picking up my room,as I am leaving day after tomorrow.
I see that Mandy has gotten her tattoo. Yay! Way to go Mandy. I'm still designing mine. someday.

Today was fairly relaxing. I gave myself a color rinse in hopes that my quickly fading blue would brighten up a little. It did but not enough to make it worth all the trouble. You see, our bathroom is a bit...special. The tub doesn't drain (its a long complicated problem That I would need several diagrams to explain), and the water doesn't really come out of the shower head. But we have this hose you can hook up to the faucet that has a spray head and when you are done you just have to scoop all of the water out of the tub with a bucket. Anyway, after that I took a shower, gave myself a facial, and spent the rest of the day on the porch painting my toenails and blowing bubbles until mom came home. Then we made dinner and watched tv for the rest of the evening. This means I'll be rather busy tomorrow though.

Ok, so most of the day was spent moving the hospital bed, but before I get into that I think I should do some explaining. First of all, the hospital bed is one of two owned by my aunt and uncle. Their house is rather odd. It consists of their house, a mechanic's garage, and an upholstery shop, and five storage units. There are also three trailers, and at any given time between 10 and 20 cars there. They also have 4 fat cats. There is so much more I could tell you but it is completely irrelevant. And all of it is just full up to the top with stuff because they never get rid of anything and my aunt has a shopping problem. I don't know when or where they got the hospital beds but one of them is in use in the office because my uncle has muscular dystrophy and can no longer make it up the stairs. The other bed was in pieces in two different storage units. My grandmother needs the bed and the twin bed we ended up moving because she is having company this weekend. So after my aunt and I clean off all the stuff that is on the beds we move the part of the hospital bed with the motor in the already full car over to my grandmother's. On the next trip we moved the other half of the bottom, the two ends and the mattress. Then come the fun part, we had to put it together. When that was all figured out we went back to my aunt's house to get the box spring and mattress for the twin bed. When we get back to my grandmother's house there is a problem with the motors on the hospital bed. So we fiddle with that for awhile and deem them unimportant after not being able to make them work. So then we go to put together the frame for the twin bed, but before we do that it turns out we have to rearrange all the furniture in my grandmother's bedroom before we can do that. By the way, that never getting rid of anything thing runs in the family. So then we go to put the frame together, again, but the connectors that hold the bed together are missing so my aunt runs back to her house to go get her bed frame. I waited at my grandmother's house. she had me clean the front window because she can't reach and I got a cookie and a coke out of it. My aunt finally gets back and we get it all together, get the box spring and the mattress moved in and we run like hell. Bob just sat back and watched the whole thing in amusement. There was also a lot of bickering and need for creative tool usage I thought I would spare you. And after all of that I forgot to grab Puff, my stuffed dragon my grandmother has been holding hostage. The rest of the day was spent bickering with my mother.

Well today was...different. To start off with it was storming really hard this morning but then by afternoon it had stopped. For the rest of the day it couldn't decide between being sunny or cloudy. I went to lunch with my dad. We went to the bowling alley of course. We chatted, we ate, the usual. It also turns out that my favorite restaurant, Lee's, is shut down. I also didn't do a very good job of screening my calls because now I'm helping my aunt move the hospital bed tomorrow. I did start a new book today. Its an autobiography called If It Die by Andre Gide. Its a nice read really. It has a nice flow to it. Its kind of witty and sad in a beautiful way if that makes any sense. Most of the day was spent snuggling the kitty. She hasn't left me alone all day. I wasn't "feeling well" so I lit my favorite candles. They are the rainbow tea lights I keep in the Indian (as in country in Asia) style dish, my beeswax sweet pea scented breast cancer candle, my Nirvana scented Karmic Cube I keep in the purple glass holder, my pomegranite scented candle in the Him tin, and my white pillar candle. It worked for awhile, then mom came home. I went to the post office today and my Revolver, Spin, and Jane magazines came. I was all excited to read them and then I remembered I also have the stack of magazines that came for me while I was at school. I still read them but then it seemed like more of a chore than entertainment. I think mom broke my shredder. She has been the only one to use it since January and now it doesn't work. It seems like a reasonable assessment to me. I accidentally broke a bowl today making dinner (tuna sandwich with coconut cream pie and chocolate milk). It fell out of the cupboard as I was closing it, bounced off the counter, and exploded when it hit the floor in to tiny shards that went from one end of the room all the way into the laundry room. I have been toying with the idea of doing my hair up in kind of a pony tail mohawk for years but when I went into the living room to get my cd player as I was hiding in my room waiting for House to come on, some guy on American Idol had his hair that way. I have now decided against it, but I still maintain that my hair would have been way cooler. Today on the news they showed something about some prison doing Inmate Idol. The winner and his cell block or section or whatever won food from Pizza Hut and McDonald's as a prize. The judges were an Elvis impersonator, Alice Cooper, and the county sheriff. I have also discovered there is such a thing as press on toe nails. No Comment. *shivers* I also finally found my cell phone today. I had a text from Martini and she is sad. I wish i could go to her and make her happy, perhaps by bringing Ville with me wrapped in a pretty bow. I also don't know if I like this Simply Sleep stuff. I sleep but it give me weird dreams, well not weird more like unpleasant and annoying. As Scarlett once said "tomorrow is another day."

Emo Porn

So I had planned to do many things today. I was going to go downtown and wander around the galleries and the tourist shops. I was going to play with my new camera and go to the post office. I was also going to go to the library and get some internet time. But it was raining. So instead I stayed home, watched tv, listened to music and read Godchild 2-4. I still have yet to figure out what the explicit content in book 4 is. Can someone explain it to me? Its really just emo porn, but now I am hopelessly addicted. I am anxiously awaiting getting the next book. Its quite sad really. Tomorrow I will have more posts for you but right now I am tired of fighting Franken Herman and the cat. I just thought I'd announce my sad obsession and let you know that I am still alive, cold and wet but still alive.

Ok, so I am FINALLY doing laundry, not nearly all of my laundry but my laundry none the less. Anyway, I thought since I’m doing laundry I could either work on my research paper or write a live journal entry. Guess which one I decided to do…
Well I guess I’ll begin at the beginning, which I guess is spring break. Nothing particularly exciting happened over spring break except that my problem child (Herman, my old computer that many of you have heard me whine about for a couple of years finally died several months ago) after several months has been taken in to get fixed and I went to see The Hills Have Eyes with Martini. It wasn’t really a bad movie. It had some plot line problems but other than that it was pretty good.
Then classes started again. This term I am taking The Art of Archaic Greece, Rome in the Age of Bernini, Drawing, and German 203. I was taking “If the shoes fits wear it, fetishism and anxiety in literary studies” but I had to drop it. Don’t get me wrong, I loved that class. It was interesting and challenging. But I understood nothing and at 5 am, after being up for two days working on the first paper and only being able to come up with three sentences and the paper being due at 2pm and I had other classes that day. I had to make a decision and I dropped it. Decisions made a 5am may not be the most well thought out decisions but they are the most honest ones you’ll make all day. I felt much better, my mother was slightly upset because if I had dropped two days earlier I would have gotten a partial tuition refund but oh well.
The day after I started classes I had to go back to work. This term I am only working 10-16 hours a week instead of 15-22. It’s bad for my paycheck but good for my sanity. It was a good first day back though; one of the residents gave me a balloon.
In other news, this term I have managed to sneak off and see three movies and a drag show with Martini. We saw The Wild, with our beloved Eddie Izzard as the voice of Nigel the koala. We also saw Thank you for Smoking and Art School Confidential, which are both fabulous movies I think everyone should see.
Also my friend DJ got a Drag mother and won his first drag contest wan we are very proud of him.
I think I need to put my clothes in the dryer.
49 days till my birthday.
